This second experimental cover's inset photo frame was reinforced by the ribbon that clarified both that the frame was inset and brought a 3-dimensional element to the otherwise flat cover. It also emphasized the main sell line and engaged both sides
A more exciting photo is always beneficial on the cover of a photo annual. The more subdued main sell line split into two halves leads the audience to read all of it while also absorbing the photo in an intentional order.

The ghostly effects on the main sell line nicely complimented the photo without detracting from it, and required a very specific combination of stacked effects and layers to be transparent, abstract and legible all at the same time.
Almost every letter of the main coverline was meticulously tweaked, rotated, re-drawn and made more consistent with the surrounding letters to maintain legibility and consistency, limit unnecessary flair, and fall in line with the Editors' Choice log
